The weekend Beat Wipf and myself took out our (older) touring skis and headed for Dürrboden in the Dischma side valley of Davos to check out the snow conditions. It snowed pretty heavily in mid October and we were eager to get the skis under our feet.
The Dischma Valley looked alomst like in winter with the North facing slopes snow covered. We headed up from Dürrboden to Scaletta Pass (two hour ascent). From there we enjoyed the nice and sunny weather. The ski down to Dürrboden was, as exepcted, a bit tricky and in some parts a bit “rocky”. Nevertheless, we enjoyed our first little ski tour this season.
